Privacy & measurement

You can browse expos without an account. Signing in creates a member profile with your name, authenticated email address and a site-specific account identifier. Saved expos and searches belong to your account and are not shown to other visitors.

Optional profile preferences

You may share your expo industries, destination countries, home country, participation type, organisation, mobile number and translator or language needs. Every preference is optional and can be edited or cleared in your account. These details are visible to you and the site owner, not other visitors or service providers. A mobile number is unverified; adding one does not authorise calls, SMS, WhatsApp messages or unrelated marketing. Profile preferences do not register you for events or subscribe you to email updates. Deleting your profile deletes these preferences.

Expo Companion and trip plans

The Companion uses approximate city/country information supplied by our hosting network where available. We do not request GPS or store your IP address in trip records. You can change your departure city or airport. Trip details are stored privately only when you save a trip, and are deleted when you delete the trip or your profile. Opening embedded or linked external websites lets those providers process connection information under their own policies. Travel search links include the origin, destination and dates needed for that search. We do not provide live prices or make bookings. Embedding restrictions are respected; the Companion remains available when you open an event website in a new tab.

Participation and service enquiries

Your participation choice is recorded separately for each expo and is visible to you and the site owner. Selecting exhibitor does not confirm you are exhibiting and does not authorise sharing your contact details. If you submit a stall-service quote request and agree to sharing, the site owner may share your supplied company, contact and requirement details with relevant providers for that enquiry. We record the consent time. The owner can record provider quotes, their source references and progress updates. You can compare offers and select a preference in Companion. A preference does not confirm a booking or make a payment. Quote selection and service outcomes remain private to you and the site owner. Vendors cannot browse member contact details. You can withdraw a request or remove your interest on its expo page; deleting your profile deletes these records too. Withdrawal stops future sharing but cannot recall details already shared. No consent is given for unrelated marketing.

Account alerts

Alerts appear in your account when saved expo dates or locations change, or when a followed search has new matches. Alerts are checked when you open or refresh your account. These in-account change notifications are separate from the optional expo email shortlist.

Reports and complaints

If you send a report or complaint, we store your required email address, contact number, message, report type, the page you reported and any optional name. These details are visible only to the site owner and are used to investigate and respond to your message. They are not added to marketing lists.

Anonymous activity counts

We count page views, expo views, searches and clicks to event sources. We do not store search text, IP addresses, visitor identifiers or browsing profiles in the analytics database. Counts are not unique visitor totals. Known bots and the site owner are excluded where identifiable. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

We do not set an analytics cookie. Hosting and sign-in providers may process connection information separately. Uploaded event images may load from external websites, and following a source link takes you to that provider.

Email subscriptions

Joining the updates list records your email, selected interest, optional city/country and consent time. A signup receives a confirmation email through Resend. Only after confirmation can the site owner send an expo shortlist matched to your country, with your city prioritised. Every alert contains an unsubscribe link. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours. Unsubscribe stops future sends; an email already accepted for delivery may still arrive. The owner can review or remove subscriptions. We retain subscription status, consent and confirmation times and delivery records; unsubscribed addresses stay suppressed until they confirm a new signup or are removed. Resend processes recipients and message content to deliver emails. Hashed network addresses are used for short-lived signup rate limits, separate from analytics. Email subscription does not create a login account. Approximate location suggestions use network-provided city/country; the “Use my location” button requests browser location only when clicked. Coordinates are used on your device to find the nearest mapped city and are not stored by GlobalExpoDesk.

Travel links

Booking services open in a new tab and handle availability, payment and cancellation. Where an affiliate link is configured, it is labelled and we may earn commission on qualifying bookings. We count aggregate partner-link clicks, respecting Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. No booking or revenue is inferred from a click.

Your controls

You can remove saved expos and searches in your account, or delete your member profile and saved data. Member sign-in uses a secure email link or, when connected, Google sign-in. Google provides an account identifier, verified email and optional name; we do not request Gmail inbox access. A secure sign-in cookie keeps your session for up to 30 days. You can sign out at any time. Owner sign-in uses Cloudflare Access. Deleting your GlobalExpoDesk profile does not delete your account with an external identity provider.
