  • The South Entrance is served by S-Bahn lines S6, S11, S12 and S19 and by underground lines 1 and 9 at Köln Messe/Deutz; the East, West and North entrances by tram lines 3 and 4. Source ↗
  • From Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN), about 16 km away, the S19 or a Regional Express reaches Köln Messe/Deutz in about 12 minutes. From Düsseldorf Airport it takes about 45 minutes by Sky Train and Regional Express, and from Frankfurt Airport about 50 minutes non-stop by ICE. Source ↗
  • Your fair ticket includes a public transport ticket for local trains, trams and buses (not IC, EC or ICE) to and from Koelnmesse during the fair; carry photo ID. Source ↗
  • Taxis wait at the entrances; Cologne taxi booking is on +49 221 2882. Source ↗
  • Drivers are advised to use the free NUNAV app, which routes them to open fair car parks. Vehicles without a green emissions sticker can still reach the grounds on the route shown on Koelnmesse’s arrival map. Source ↗
  • Fair visitors can buy discounted Deutsche Bahn event tickets from EUR 16.19, and Lufthansa Group offers event fares. Source ↗

Parking

  • About 10,000 spaces at the grounds plus up to 7,500 nearby, including the Zoobrücke car park (P22) with more than 3,200 spaces. Source ↗
  • Prices are set per fair; for example, ART COLOGNE 2026 charges EUR 15 per space at the fair car parks. Source ↗
  • Some fairs sell parking in advance in their ticket shop; with your licence plate entered, the barrier opens automatically. Source ↗
  • EV charging points (11–13 kW) are in car parks P2, P4.2, P8, P10 and P22. Disabled parking is next to the North, East/West and South entrances. Source ↗

On site

  • Box offices and cloakrooms are at the North, East, West and South entrances. Entrance North is step-free to Halls 6–9; other halls are reached by lift via the Boulevard. Source ↗
  • Two medical centres, North (Hall 7) and East (Hall 11.1), lend manual wheelchairs against a refundable deposit and ID. Source ↗
  • All halls have accessible toilets and almost all lifts are fully accessible; information staff can escort you on a suitable route. Source ↗
  • Aramark runs the catering; a Catering Credit Card allows cashless payment at food outlets on the grounds. Source ↗
  • Bags may be checked. Under-16s must be with an adult, and scooters, skateboards, drones, weapons and replica weapons (including cosplay props) are banned; smoking only in designated areas. Source ↗

  • Koelnmesse cites almost 180 partner hotels and around 94,000 hotel beds in the Cologne region. We found no hotel on the grounds. Source ↗
  • If you need a visa for Germany, Koelnmesse’s visa support service issues official invitation letters. Source ↗

For exhibitors

  • Koelnmesse’s Technical Guidelines (July 2024) set the rules for stand construction, fire safety, electrics and water on the Cologne grounds. Source ↗
  • Stands need approval through the Delegatis platform at least 6 weeks before build-up; two-storey and special structures also need certified structural calculations and drawings in German. Source ↗
  • Electricity connections come only from Koelnmesse’s appointed electrical contractors and, like water, must be ordered at least four weeks ahead. Only Koelnmesse may hang anything from the hall ceilings. Source ↗
  • Official service partners include electronica and Elektro Neumann (electrics), UEBERKOPF (rigging and event technology), NetCologne (internet), Aramark (catering) and DSV (forwarding), plus a list of approved stand builders. Source ↗
  • During build-up and dismantling, vehicles need a time slot booked in the eSlot system; at INTERMOT 2025 slots cost EUR 10–50 online or EUR 15–65 on site, and cranes and forklifts were reserved for the official logistics partner. Check your fair’s guide for its current partner. Source ↗
  • Exhibitor Wi-Fi networks must be registered at least 4 weeks before the fair and are allowed only on 2.4 GHz channels 1, 5 or 9. Source ↗
